Inspired by Roman nails found about Britain, this is a charm that's reminiscent of taking a token from home with you. A lucky nail, that allows your home & loved ones to travel with you no matter how far you may journey. A reminder of where you're from and a token of love & luck that can be sent with you.
In history the Romans would use nails not only for their intended purpose, but also to ask things from the dead or gods. As explained in the description of our Nona's Blessing, they would write a message or request on a piece of lead, fold it up, hold it together with a nail stabbed through the middle and then bury it in a grave so that your ancestors could receive your message and lend a helping hand.
